To enable the work experience candidates to review all available placements in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland the portal has been developed. The candidate will be able to sort them by clinical/non-clinical, by location, by age etc. making it easy for them to access their chosen placement somewhere in the Health and Social Care System. This removal of boundaries really supports our agile workforce ambitions. In addition to this the portal will also automate the processing of work experience applications for managers; it will automatically send placement managers applications when they are received, record demographics about placements, reasons for acceptance and declines and automatically respond to students the areas hosting decision.
All placements should therefore be registered on the database to support an efficient and effective processing for the candidate and manager. This will prevent managers having to manually collect and submit the information on placement numbers, placement acceptance/decline reasons and candidate demographics.
