'Thanks very much for putting on this morning's event. It has been a great success with the students who attended the event, I also enjoyed it! I think it would be great for the Medhedz students but also to give to our Health & Social Care teacher to show to all our BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 students. Congratulations on a great event' Brookvale Groby School

Brookvale Groby School, March 2020
I have spoken to some of our students who attended your Step into Health and Social Care event hosted at the Glenfield Hospital - they were very impressed by all of the options available in the organisation and highly recommended other students taking part in this type of activity if it is offered again in the future.
Beaumont Leys Secondary School, March 2020.
I had the best work experience! My supervisor was so brilliant (Ward Sister). She tailored the week to fit my interests and allowed me to shadow doctors, which was so inspiring! I am so glad I got to meet all these lovely people, who all greeted and respected me, despite being a minor. I also got to see loads of different aspects of the people working on the ward, such as the housekeeper, who has such an important job in maintaining patient health when it comes to food, which was very insightful. I learnt so much that you would not have been able to learn from a hospital bed.

Thank you for this opportunity as it has helped me confirm the career I want to pursue.

It was a beneficial experience!
Clinical Work Experience, October 2019
I got to speak with doctors for a while and they were very inspiring and motivating. I therefore rethought my A level choices and decided to take chemistry instead of biology, as chemistry is compulsory for medicine.
Clinical Work Experience, October 2019
This experience showed me the average working day of a Health Care Assistant as well as nurses on the ward. However I did experience 1 day in the Radiography ward due to my background in A-Level physics i think radiography is a preferred career for me.
