The clinical industry placement on ward 4 Coalville hospital covers 20 days in year 1 and a return to the same area for 25 days in year 2. The ambition is to enable T level students to be able to apply for a Student Nursing Associate Apprenticeship or Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship on the same ward at the end of the placement; and return to the same ward to work following successful completion of apprenticeship and nursing registration.
During the first year the T level student will work with a Health Care Support Worker. The student will complete the Care Certificate through a combination of theory and practical work. In the second year the T level student will work with a Registered Nurse. The student will work with the registered team and be exposed to shadowing other toles within our department, for example a Therapist, Assistant Nurse Practitioner or Consultant.

Inductions will be supported locally by the placement manager at the site the placement is at
